Glenn Lyons was born and grew up in Cape Town. His family background is a rich mix of both Scottish and Jewish heritage. Glenn came to Christ along with his fiance Sandy in 1993 while attending pre-marriage classes at St.James Church Kenilworth.
After completing his BTh (Hons) at George Whitefield College, Glenn became pastor of Emmanuel Church, Port Elizabeth. He served as Rector from 2000 to 2015 when he was elected as Presiding Bishop of REACH-SA.
A gifted leader, Glenn has a passion for teaching and preaching God’s Word faithfully
His concern for the lost, and passion for growing and strengthening Christians to live lives that reflect the Gospel, has been a strong drive in his ministry.
